HAPPY NEW YEAR AND WE'RE STILL HERE!

Hello,

Happy New Year!! We can't believe it's already 2011 and it will be 4 years for us in May! I also can't believe our last post was on our last anniversary! We are looking forward to great things for H.E.L.P. this year. The biggest turn of events for us is our move to the west coast! We are now living in Los Angeles and are beginning the process of setting up shop out here on the gold coast!

After we get established out here our first order of business will be to get our teen afterschool program implemented. We still plan on marketing and presenting Body Talk! and The JUICE! but we have decided to shift gears and start out by creating a name for ourselves through a sememster long teen program called Teen Movement! We hope that you all stay tuned and keep up with us as we march on into 2011 in a new city and new programming! We are very excited and poised for continued success!

Hello folks,

Today is H.E.L.P.'s three year anniversary!! We are so pleased to still be around and pushing forward to take H.E.L.P. to even greater heights!

We still have a lot of work to do, but we are poised to make a definitive mark on the lives of the young people across the country with our innovative programming. We also look forward to establishing strategic partnerships with those who share our vision as we move forward as well.

We thank you for your continued interest and support. We are very excited to see what the next three years will bring, it is our hope that you are as well!

We are pleased to announce that The JUICE! is finally complete and available for bookings for the upcoming school year! Please click here for more details!

We are also excited to announce the development of our first afterschool program for teens called Teen Movement! We are currently shaping this program and look forward to an official launch for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. We will actively be seeking grants to support this program. Further information on Teen Movement! will be on our website soon!

Hello!

We are continually pushing forward! The J.U.I.C.E.! is in its final stages and we look forward to having the information on our website about this exciting program very soon.

We are also currently in the beginning stages of outlining a new program for teens as well. Things have been a little slow on the booking front this semester, but we remain optimistic and are positioning ourselves to begin our marketing efforts for the upcoming fall semester.

Happy New Year!

We are so excited about 2010! We look forward to bringing you more exciting news and developments this year.

We are currently working on our second school assembly, The J.U.I.C.E.!, for children in grades K-2 and look forward to rolling out this program in the next few months!

We are very pleased to announce that our shows at Pine Ridge Elementary and Legacy Elementary were a huge success! We are very excited to have more shows under our belt and look forward to more bookings in the coming months!

We thank Mrs. Phillips at Pine Ridge and Mr. Duckworth and the Legacy PTO for inviting us to "edutain" their students with Body Talk!

We are pleased to announce our first three bookings of the school year!

We will be performing again for Pine Ridge Elementary School in Stone Mountain, GA. We are so pleased they have asked us to bring Body Talk! to their students for a second time. We will be there on Thursday, November 5th.

We will also be performing at Legacy Elementary School in Ashburn, VA on Tuesday, November 10th. We will be performing two shows for Legacy. This is our first out of state booking and we are thrilled!

We are still here preparing for the upcoming school year. We have received our new and improved postcards to send out to schools to continue marketing Body Talk! We will also be included in the School Assembly Directory for schools in the Midwest region. Additionally, we look forward to having video up on our site and Youtube in the very near future so you can get a sneak peak at the show!

THIRD SHOW DOWN!

Hey Everybody,

We are pleased to announce our third show at Stone Mountain Elementary was a success! However there was a last minute change of plans. We ended up performing the show for grades K-2 because the 3-5 grade students had testing. We were a little concerned the material may be a little over their heads, but we went on and they seemed to not miss a beat! The coordinator of the show informed us that the teachers felt the students gained a lot from the show even though it is designed for older children.

So, we now have three successful shows under our belt and look foward to many more!

Hey folks,

We are so excited to announce we have booked another show! We will be performing at Stone Mountain Elementary in Stone Mountain, GA. on Wednesday, April 29th. We look forward to having a full roster of shows to report about for this upcoming fall semester and beyond!

We also had a great photo shoot this past Saturday to get pictures to use for new marketing materials. Brent Walker was more than generous to offer us his photography services free of charge. Brent is a successful photographer in the Atlanta area and we are so grateful that he agreed to take time out of his schedule to do these pictures for us to further promote our organization and show. FIRST TWO SHOWS!!

Greetings!

We are so happy to report that our first show was a huge success! The school administrators at Pine Ridge and their students were extremely pleased with the show. The principal has already begun speaking with her colleagues about booking Body Talk!. The only downside to the day was our videographer was stuck in horrendous traffic and didn't arrive until the show was finished.

The upside came when he mentioned that his wife is a director over at the YMCA and had some connections to have us do another show the following day in order to get the footage we so desperately need to use as a selling tool for schools. So, she arranged for us to do another show at the Boys and Girls Club in Eastpoint and it too was a huge success there as well! We weren't sure how a science show would go over with a group of kids that had just left school but they had a blast. The pictures above are from that particular show!

We are so happy and optimistic about future bookings and will definitely continue to blog about it, so as always, stay tuned!

EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENTS!

We are pleased to report we have been added to the approved vendor list to solicit Body Talk! to elementary and middle schools in Dekalb County, GA!

We have also booked our first official show! We will be performing Body Talk! at Pine Ridge Elementary School in Stone Mountain, GA on Thursday, February 26th! We are extremely excited!

BODY TALK! PREVIEW PERFORMANCE

We had a preview performance of Body Talk! on Saturday, December 6th for new and current H.E.L.P. supporters in Northern Virginia. The show went over well and we received a lot of great feedback and suggestions to make the show even stronger for schools.

We are currently in the process of obtaining vendor approvals for Dekalb and Fulton County schools in Georgia. We have already received interest in presenting the show to some Atlanta area schools. We look forward to informing you when we have our first official school booking!

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT CONFERENCE

H.E.L.P. for Youth, Inc. participated in the Office of School Improvement Parental Involvement Conference, “Mission Possible…Building Bridges for a Better Tomorrow” this past Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Avondale Middle School.

It was a great event and we made some great contacts. We will be reaching out to them as we continue working towards establishing ourselves in the area. We look forward to bringing our wonderful science show to schools in Atlanta in the very near future!

H.E.L.P. is proud to announce we received a positive determination from the IRS deeming us a 501(c)3 organization! We sincerely thank the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta for teaming us up with Edward Manigault, Esq. and his colleagues at Jones Day who drafted our paperwork to submit to the IRS free of charge.

We are now diligently at work drafting materials to send to various schools to advertise our dynamic Body Talk! show! Our touring schedule will be posted when it becomes available. Please be sure to visit our site for booking information!
